Description

The youth exchange ‘Learning in Nature and Intercultural Experiences‘ is a project that brings together young people from four different places around the globe and invites them to explore and express their perspectives on nature and urban landscapes, as well as to engage with nature education and its possibilities amidst natural beauty. The project will take place in Berlin during the first half of November 2026.

While the concept of ‘nature‘ evokes purity and the absence of human intervention, ‘learning’ points to the opportunity to explore the possibilities in our surroundings through various educational and practical skills and tools.

A total of 25 participants, together with their group leaders from four different countries, will come together to exchange ideas, strengthen their motivation, and inspire one another around a variety of meaningful topics.

This project combines creativity, cultural exchange, and environmental awareness and takes place in the vibrant city of Berlin, where November looks and feels very different from November in the participants’ home countries. In addition to Germany, the participating countries are Serbia, Italy, and Kosovo.

Description:

“Nature in Frame” is a project that brings together young people from five different locations around the globe and invites them to explore and express their views on nature and urban landscapes. While the term “nature” stands for purity and the absence of human intervention, the term “environment” reflects the relationship between people and their surroundings. How can these concepts be integrated into our project? Photography will serve as a tool to unite them.

35 participants from five different countries come together to share their thoughts, boost their motivation and inspire each other on various meaningful topics. This project combines creativity, cultural exchange and environmental awareness and takes place in the vibrant city of Berlin. The participating countries include Serbia, Germany, Romania, Italy and Hungary.

Description:

This Youth Exchange in Berlin brings together young people from Spain, Italy and Germany to explore food as more than something we cook or eat. Food becomes a starting point to reflect on culture, identity, memory, access, and the systems that shape our everyday lives.

Through shared meals, hands-on activities, discussions, and creative workshops, participants will explore the similarities and differences within their food traditions and behaviours. We will question how urban food systems work, who has access to what, and how institutions influence our relationship with food,  while also celebrating the stories and connections that emerge around the table.

The aim is not only to exchange recipes, but to build something together out of this collective exploration. This could take the form of a small publication, a recipe collection, creative documentation, or another shared outcome shaped by the group. The process of co-creation is just as important as the result.

We invite people who enjoy cooking and experimenting with new flavours in the kitchen, as well as those who are curious about culture, reflection, and creative handcraft activities. Whether you express yourself through food, conversation, or making things with your hands, this exchange offers space to explore and create together.

In the intercultural landscape of Berlin, food becomes a common ground, a way to understand each other, challenge perspectives, and imagine new ways of connecting in the city.
