The “Promenade sticks together” project takes place in the eastern part of the QM area, along the Hellersdorfer Promenade, and covers a large social space in the Hellersdorf-Nord region. Here, we promote synergies between local institutions and projects, organise joint events in public spaces and revitalise the residential environment of local residents. We want to create moments of encounter for people from the neighbourhood and get to know them, network with each other and bring their ideas to life. We want to promote the active co-design of the social space by encouraging volunteer work and developing joint platforms, events and campaigns for this purpose. An important point of contact is the Buntes Haus multigenerational centre, where the project is coordinated and unfolds its impact throughout the entire area. We look after the neighbourhood together and provide the necessary resources in an uncomplicated manner so that the existing potential in, through and with the neighbourhood can grow. The pragmatic function of the “carer” is also implemented by the project coordinator Mr Jahns. The neighbourhood management “Hellersdorfer Promenade” developed the foundations of the project, is a very important partner and constantly monitors the progress of the project.
