We are still waiting for our own houseboat. But the Strandbad Wendenschloss makes it possible and with the beautiful “Maya”, a houseboat from their fleet, we can now be out and about for and with you every week on four days. Come and visit us in Grünau, Müggelheim or Schmöckwitz, explore the boat and continue to collect ideas with us for the design of your future floating youth club. Of course, you can also take part in the design process online.
Stay up to date on when and where we can be found and follow us in our info channels.
You can find us as follows for the time being:
Every Tuesday from 15:00 – 19:00 in Grünau, Park an der Dahme, Schlierseestraße 15
Every Wednesday from 15:00 – 19:00 in Müggelheim, Park an der Krampe, Gosener Damm 4
Every Thursday from 15:00 – 19:00 in Schmöckwitz, Schmöckwitzer Brücke, Alt-Schmöckwitz 16a
Every Friday from 15:00 – 19:00 in Grünau, Park an der Dahme, Schlierseestraße 15
There are different ways to follow us on the info channels mentioned above, depending on which platform suits you best:
Around 2000 young people live in the five Treptow-Köpenick neighbourhoods of Grünau, Schmöckwitz, Karolinenhof, Rauchfangswerder and Müggelheim. None of the three district regions have any district-funded youth work programmes. For this reason, the district took the initiative for an independent youth work programme and launched an expression of interest procedure.
In a resolution passed by the Youth Welfare Committee on 14 September 2022, we were commissioned to develop and provide an off-site youth work service for these regions.
The service will be newly created. The fact that all district regions are located around the Langen See and our discussions with young people on site have inspired us to create a mobile youth centre on the water.
In our view, the centre must be usable all year round, barrier-free or at least accessible with little assistance and large enough for up to 15 visitors at a time. It should be equipped with free WiFi, a kitchen and a seating area as well as space-saving play facilities and a toilet.
