This photo exhibition marks the end of Nature in Frame, a youth exchange as part of the Erasmus programme. Over five days in Berlin, young people aged 15 to 27 from Romania (Izvoarele), Serbia (Pančevo), Italy (Mussomeli) and Germany (Berlin) came together to explore and express their perspectives on the relationship between nature and urban landscapes.
The project – and therefore the exhibition – is a mixture of artistic expression, cultural exchange and environmental awareness. Photography served as a narrative tool that enabled the participants to share their experiences, ideas and creative experiments. The result is an exhibition that presents a wide variety of perspectives, techniques and stories.
During the exchange, participants explored themes such as the resilience of nature in the city, where plants and trees are reclaiming urban spaces; human relationships with the environment and our responsibility towards it; organic architecture with its flowing, nature-inspired forms; and living in harmony with nature in Berlin, visible in community gardens, local wildlife and green architecture.
Through these explorations, Nature in Frame emphasises the importance of understanding and preserving the delicate balance between urban development and the natural environment – while encouraging creativity, collaboration and cultural exchange among young people.
